Here is a bit of a rare opportunity from Qantas. The chance to snap up some discounted Premium Economy and Business awards at a discounted rate.
While Qantas run promotions from time to time offering discounts on Economy awards, it is unusual for the discount to be on offer for premium cabins.
On the downside, the offer is only available on selected routes across the Qantas network. But, having said that, if the stars align for you, then there is no reason not to take advantage of the offer.
Offer Details
You can take advantage of this promotion between now and Wednesday 19 February 2020. When making your booking, you will need to You will need to travel between 10 February 2020 and 31 December 2020.
Eligible routes include selected Australian cities into New Zealand, Fiji, and San Francisco.
- Brisbane – San Francisco: Save on Economy and Premium Economy award seats when flying via Brisbane
- Australia – NZ: Save on Economy, Premium Economy and Business Class seats between Sydney / Melbourne / Brisbane / Adelaide and Auckland / Wellington / Queenstown / Christchurch
- Australian cities – Nadi: Save on Economy and Business Class seats between Sydney / Melbourne / Brisbane and Nadi.
The 30% discount will be applied automatically during the booking process. You should note that the discount only applies to the points component of the booking. You will need to pay any additional fees, taxes, and carrier charges as normal.
Restrictions
There are a few restrictions to be aware of with this offer:
- You will need to travel on the eligible flights identified by Qantas. This includes travel on Qantas, Jetstar or Fiji Airways
- The discount only applies to the points component and not to any taxes and surcharges
Final Thoughts
This promotion is a little different from previous promotions in a couple of ways. Firstly, it is only being made available for a small, selected range of destinations. Perhaps more unusually, Qantas have included Premium Economy and Business cabins in the offer.
