IHG One Rewards has launched a new status challenge offer. Under the offer, you will be granted 120 days of Platinum Elite Status. Then you can lock in that status until the end of 2023 by staying 5 nights in that 120 days.
It gets even better. Should you manage to stay 15 nights in the 120-day period, you will be granted Diamond Elite status.
Registration for this status challenge is open until 31 July 2022. Your 120-day period starts from the date you register.

Who is eligible?
In order to register, you will need to be a member of one of the following competing hotel rewards programs:
- Accor Live Limitless (ALL)
- Best Western Rewards
- Choice Privileges
- Hilton Honors
- Marriott Bonvoy
- Radisson Rewards
- World of Hyatt
- Wyndham Rewards
Registration is simple. You simply choose which program you are matching from, and let IHG One Rewards know your level in that program. The registration form allows you to select any level, even the base level of these programs. As a result, you may only just have to be a member of one of these programs to register.
Benefits of Status
That Platinum Elite status grants you a number of perks. These include 60% bonus points every time you stay, guaranteed room availability, early check-in, and complimentary room upgrades (subject to availability). In addition, you have the ability to book your reward nights at discounted points rates.
If you stay the 15 nights, you will get a further bump to Diamond Elite. At this level, you get a boost to 100% bonus points, and will also be eligible for breakfast.
Thoughts
All in all, this is a generous offer from IHG One Rewards. So much so, that it is likely to be quite a popular promotion.
