Last year we learned that the new Accor Live Limitless (ALL) program was going to have two new status levels. The highest level based on published criteria is the ALL Diamond Level. The other was an invitation-only status, which is apparently going under the name ‘Limitless’.

This was all scheduled to roll out in 2020. True to their word, members that achieved 26,000 Status Points in 2019 have had their status updated to Diamond.

In this article, we will recap the requirements and benefits of achieving Diamond status in ALL.

Criteria

To recap, Diamond Status is awarded after a member earns 26,000 Status Points during a calendar year.  Unlike the other status levels, there is no specified number of nights – you can only achieve the level through earning Status Points.

Let’s put 26,000 Status Points into perspective. It’s almost double the number of Status Points required to achieve Platinum. Platinum requires you to earn 14,000 Status Points, and also provided the alternative path of 60 nights.

At most brands, such as Novotel, Pullman or Sofitel, you would need to spend at least 10,400 Euro during the year.  If you stay at Ibis, you would need to double that spend. And if you stay at some of the newer brands to Accor, such as Art Series, Mantra or Peppers, then you would need to increase that spend even further.

Keep in mind that the 10,400 Euro is the minimum you would need to spend. As some spend, such as taxes and service charges, don’t earn Status Points, the actual minimum you need to spend could be a little higher.

Benefits

So what do you get for spending nearly twice as much as you need to achieve Platinum? Well, over and above Platinum, Diamond members are offered:

There are a few points worth keeping in mind about the breakfast benefit, as it may sound a little worse than it actually is.

The most important is that it does not take away any existing benefits that Platinum bestows. For example, Lounge Access will remain, and in many cases breakfast will be available via lounge access. In addition, the free breakfast offered to Platinum members in Asia-Pacific will remain.

However, if you are staying outside Asia-Pacific, in a hotel without a lounge, then the Diamond status will provide a breakfast on the weekends

The Dining and Spa Rewards offer 4 vouchers worth €25 each credited to your account, to treat yourself to a meal or relaxing spa treatment. While there are 4 vouchers offered, you can use at most 2 on any given stay.
