American Express offers bonus points on transfers to Hilton and Marriott

Are you sitting on a batch of American Express Membership Rewards points? Are you interested in sending the, off to a hotel program? If so, then an American Express have a bonus offer that may be of interest.

Right now, American Express is offering bonus points when transferring points to two hotel loyalty programs. Between a August 2022 and 30 September 2022, American Express is offering the following bonuses:

  • 40% bonus points on transfers to Hilton
  • 50% bonus on transfers to Marriott

In order to take advantage of this promotion, you will need to be enrolled in American Express Membership Rewards. Specifically, you will need to be in one of the following programs:

  • Membership Rewards Ascent,
  • Gateway,
  • Premium Ascent,
  • Spirit,
  • Corporate Ascent,
  • Corporate Spirit
  • Business Ascent
  • David Jones Membership Rewards program

 

Hilton Honors

If you transfer your Membership Rewards points to Hilton Honors between 1 August and 39 September 2022,  American Express will add a 40% bonus.

In general, the transfer rate to Hilton Honors is 2 Membership Rewards points to 1 Hilton Honors point. However, that this can vary, depending on your Membership Rewards account.

In addition, you will need to transfer a minimum of 2,000 Membership Rewards Points. Under the offer, instead of receiving 1,000 Hilton Honors points, you will receive a total of 1,400 points.

Marriott Bonvoy

In the case of Marriott Bonvoy, you must transfer Membership Rewards points to Marriott Bonvoy between 1 August 2022 and 30 September 2022. Do this, and you will get a bonus of 50%.

Generally, American Express offer a transfer rate of 3 Membership Rewards points to 2 Marriott Bonvoy points. You must transfer a minimum of 600 Memebership Rewards points. From there, you can go up in 300 point increments.
