AMP Bank Go offers 1,000 Qantas Points on new Transaction Account

    MarkBy MarkNovember 5, 2025No Comments3 Mins Read

You could earn 1,000 bonus Qantas points by opening a new AMP Bank GO account. There is a few criteria that need to be met in order to pocket the 1,000 points. You will need to:

    • Open a new AMP Bank GO Everyday Account by 30 November 2025,
    • Link your Qantas Frequent Flyer number.
    • Make ten transactions on your new card, with a minimum value of $5 each, by 31 December 2025.

This limited time offer is being made available to new personal account holders that have not previously earned Qantas Points through AMP Bank Go. They do say in the last twelve months, but I’m not sure they’ve been offering points that long.

Even better, if you previously held a (discontinued) Bankwest Qantas transaction account, you may be eligible for an extra 1,000 Qantas Points. However, you will need to have received this offer in an email from Qantas.

    AMP Bank Go

AMP Bank Go is a relative new kid on the block. They run an app-based everyday banking platform, which focusses on ease of use, speed and security. It currently offers some basic mobile-only accounts and looks to have been designed to compete with the likes of UBank or ANZ Plus.

    AMP Bank GO Everyday Account

The AMP Bank Go Everyday Account us a straightforward transaction account, designed for day-to-day spending at home and overseas. It has no monthly account fees, which means there are no criteria to meet to avoid them. In addition, you won’t be charged any ATM withdrawal fees by AMP when using an ATM (operator fees may apply).

Even better, when you head overseas, there are no international currency conversion fees. That’s a good thing when you travel.

You can also set up the account in Apple Pay or Google Pay. This provides convenient access if you don’t want to carry cards around.

One interesting feature of the account is that it offers Qantas Points as standard. It is a fairly simple setup. Basically, you earn 1 Qantas Point each month for each $10 you have in the account. Sure, it’s not a big earner, but I use the card for savings on international fees and get handful of points each month.

Setting up AMP Bank Go and earning 1,000 Qantas Points

In order to earn the 1,000 Qantas Points, you will need to set up a new AMP Bank GO Everyday Account. You can do this as follows:

    1. Install the latest AMP Bank Go app on your phone from your phones app store.
    2. Open a new AMP Bank Go personal Everyday account by 30 November 2025.
    3. Link your Qantas number to your AMP account (this can be done through your profile) by 30 November 2025.
      1. Tap your profile (top right of screen)
      2. Select “Qantas Frequent Flyer” or “Qantas Business Rewards” from menu
      3. Add your Qantas Frequent Flyer number and link your accounts for Qantas Frequent Flyer.
    4. Make ten eligible transactions of at least $5 by 31 December 2025.

    Final Words

The AMP Bank Go Everyday Transaction account is a simple, low fee everyday transaction account. The current offer of 1,000 Qantas Points should be fairly straightforward for many to achieve.

On an ongoing basis, it offers 1 Qantas Point per month for every $10 of average monthly account balance. While you’ll never earn many points this way, I find the card useful for overseas use (no currency transaction fees, or ATM fees)
