Aquire, the Qantas loyalty program for small busnesses has launched a new promotion offering double Aquire points, and a bonus 50% on Status Credits, on eligible flights. It is thus providing benefits to both the business and the traveller.
Registration and Bookings
In order to particpate in the promotion, the business must register its Aquire account for the promotion. This will need to be done prior to February 29, 2016. Registration is also required prior to any bookings being made under the promotion.
Following registration, any bookings will also need to be made by February 29. The flights themselves do not need to be taken until April 30.
Remember when making the booking, that the business ABN needs to included in the booking in order to be eligible for this promotion. In addition, the normal qualifying criteria are required for the flight. That is, the booking must be made in Australia, and issued by Qantas (on an ‘081’ ticket number), and the flight must be booked on a QF flight number. The flight must also be on the services of Qantas, Emirates or American Airlines.
Bonus Offers
The promotion is two pronged, offering benefits to both the business, and the individual traveller that is required to undertake business travel.
Bonus Points for the business
For the business, there is an offer of double Aquire points up for grabs. While Aquire points are a proportion of the points that are eanred in the Qantas Frequent Flyer scheme, they can be converted to a member of the business on a 1 for 1 basis. These points are flight related points – so if you haven’t achieved your base 20,000 points for the year, they will be placed into the Pending points total. Of course, any bonus will help you move toward that 20,000 points requirement.
If, on the other hand, you have already achieved 20,000 points in your membership year, then the points will be available to transfer to an associated Qantas Frequent Flyer points
50% Bonus Status Credits for the traveller
For the traveller, there is an offer of 50% status credits. This is a useful offer to help reach, or renew, a status level within the Qantas Frequent flyer program.
Note, however, if the traveller is also registered under a separate Status Credit offer, then only one of the offers will normally apply. This would apply to people that have, for example, one of the targetted bonus offers that Qantas runs from time to time.
