The Art Series Hotels will be leaving the Priority Guest Rewards (PGR) program as from November 22, 2017. For members at the Black level of the PGR program, this will result in the loss of a range of benefits. This includes the discounts of up to 50% on food and beverage offerings.

As previously reported, the Art Series Hotels have been sold to Mantra, and as a result will be leaving the Events Hotels fold. Priority Guest Rewards will continue with the Rydges, QT Hotels and Atura Chains.

As a result of its participation in the PGR program, it also participated in the Discovery program run by the Global Hotels Alliance. As a result, it is expected that Art Series will also be leaving the Discovery program on the same date.

Coming to Le Club AccorHotels?

Mantra itself is currently being taken over by the AccorHotels group. There have been no announcement yet on how things will integrate into Accor. The Art Series Hotels seem to be a good fit for the current MGallery Collection of hotels.

We can’t be sure on just what the timeline for the integration into AccorHotels will be. Until then, we will have to be content with the Mantra program . This will be quite a come down for members at the Black status level of the PGR program.

There is some hope that the food discounts will return after the AccorHotels takeover. Accors own Accor Plus program offers members up to a 50% discount on food at the hotels restaurants.
