Art Series Hotels sold to Mantra, leaving Priority Guest Rewards

Mantra Group has entered into an agreement to acquire the Australian-owned Art Series Hotel Group.  As a result, the Art Series Hotels will be leaving the Priority Guest Rewards program from November 2017.

The Art Series Hotels are a group of 7 hotels, comprising a total of 1,000 rooms. The hotels in the group are

The Art Series hotels have been managed by what is now Event Hospitality on behalf of Deague Group since the opening of the first Art Series hotel, the Cullen in Prahran, in 2009.

Priority Guest Rewards

While the Art Series Hotels have been owned by the Deague Group, Marketing and Distribution has been handled by Event Hospitality. As part of that agreement, it had been participating in the Priority Guest Rewards program. Along with the change in owership, the Art Series Hotels will be leaving the Priority Guest Rewards program. This is not expected to happen until November, and until that time is is business as usual.

Following the change, Priority Guest Rewards will continue to have the Rydges, QT Hotels and Atura Hotels. Event Hospitality is expanding the reach of QT Hotels, with a new hotel in Queenstown opening later this year, and a Perth Hotel next year.

Mantra+

While the hotels may be leaving PGR, they will likely join the Mantra+ program. The Mantra+ program is not a point based loyalty programs, choosing instead to focus on offering in-house benefits. These include benefits such as free wi-fi, late check-out and a Welcome drink.
