Ascott delivered a record year in Southeast Asia in 2025. It signed more than 7,300 units, a 55% increase from 2024. As a result, Ascott ranked among the top three hospitality companies in the region for new signings. Its portfolio now includes over 200 operating properties and about 150 more in the pipeline. Furthermore, more than 25 new properties will open in the next 12 months, showing strong owner confidence and Ascott’s ability to execute quickly.

Meanwhile, Southeast Asia’s tourism recovery continues to strengthen. Intra‑ASEAN travel is rising, visitor spending is increasing and regional connectivity is improving. Because the market remains fragmented, more owners are turning to established operators for brand strength and distribution reach. Consequently, Ascott’s long history and deep local expertise give it a strong competitive edge.

Ascott is also expanding into around 20 new cities, including Phu Quoc, Nha Trang, Phuket, Hat Yai, Labuan Bajo, Medan, Davao and Johor Bahru. In addition, about 30% of the pipeline will come from conversions, allowing Ascott to enter markets faster and reposition existing assets under its brands. This strategy complements new‑build projects and strengthens Ascott’s ability to scale efficiently.

At the same time, Ascott’s multi‑typology strategy continues to widen its reach. The pipeline spans serviced residences, hotels, resorts, social living properties and branded residences. Resort development is growing especially quickly, with new openings planned across Vietnam, Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand and the Philippines. These additions will balance Ascott’s strong urban presence with more leisure destinations.

Looking ahead, more than 25 properties will open soon. These include Ascott Tay Ho Hanoi, Lasong Hotel & Villas Sam Son, HARRIS Resort Cam Ranh, 1926 Heritage Hotel Penang, lyf Chinatown Singapore, Somerset Clarke Quay Singapore and Ascott Ortigas Manila. Together, they highlight Ascott’s ability to deliver diverse, culturally rich and experience‑driven stays across the region.
