Are you planning some Virgin Australia travel in the near future? If so, the latest promotion from Virgin Australia may be the enticement you need. Currently, Velocity is offering 2,000 bonus points on new Virgin Australia bookings.
In order to be in line for the points, you will need to head over to the Velocity Promotion page to activate the promotion. Once you have done that you will need to make your new bookings by 29 August 2024. You don’t need to travel then; your flights can be anytime through to 17 June 2025.

It is worth noting that the bonus applies to each one-way booking. If you were to book a return flight, for example, you would get the bonus on each of the flights. As another example, a connecting flight, say Melbourne-Sydney-Brisbane would also give you the bonus on each flight.

Earlier this year, Velocity ran a promotion offering double points. This latest promotion offers a flat 2,000 bonus points. Depending on your airfare this could be a more lucrative offer, but then it could also be less rewarding.
Under the Velocity system, members are offered a base 5 points per dollar spent. From a simple Maths perspective that means a fare of $400 would get you 2,000 points. So, if your fare is less than $400 then this is a better promotion.
