While they are the key details, there are still a few terms and conditions that you need to be aware of.
Firstly, the promotion is valid for members with an address in Australia, New Zealand, Europe, the Middle East, and Africa.
Secondly, the promotion is valid for stays at participating hotels across Australia, New Zealand, Europe, the Middle East, and Africa. The promotion excludes stays in Norway, Sweden, Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Lithuania, Estonia, and Latvia.
Lastly, you will need to book through a valid Choice Hotels channel. This includes their Australian and New Zealand websites, the mobile app, or through the Choice telephone reservations.
Once you have stayed, your points should post within 72 hours of checkout. Further details on the rules of the promotion can be found on the registration page.
How many points
Normally, Choice Privileges members earn 10 base points per US dollar spent at hotels. As a result, with this promotion, you can earn 20 points per US Dollar.
Do note that there are a number of ineligible rates. For example, any room booked at a rate of less than US$40 per night is not eligible for Choice Privileges points.
Thoughts
I have stayed in Choice Hotels more frequently over the last year as my travel takes on a more regional flavour. While the benefits don’t match the other chains, they are points that will get me free nights over time. Taking some bonus points during these stays is always a plus.
