Velocity are currently offering double points on hotel stays and car hire. The offers are available through to the end of July or August, depending on the actual partner.
Under the offer, eligible hotels stays will earn up to 6 points per dollar. In the case of car hire, you could pocket 12 points per dollar. There are a range of eligibility requirements, varying from partner to partner.
In the case of hotels, there are account settings that need to be in place. For car hire partners, there are minimum rental requirements.
The booking and travel dates also vary from partner to partner.
As a result, you should check the terms of the individual partner offers for these dates.
Hotels
The eligibility requirements to earn double points varies by hotel chain, as set out below.
AccorHotels
In order to earn double Velocity Points with AccorHotels, you will need to meet the following requirements:
- Ensure that Velocity Frequent Flyer is set as your automatic points conversion option
- Book by August 31
- Stay by November 30
InterContinental Hotels Group
For IHG Rewards Hotels, you need to have Velocity selected as your preferred airline partner. You will also need to register for the promotion, and bookings are required by July 31, for stays through until November 30.
TFE Hotels
In the case of TFE Hotels, you simply need to book by 31 July for travel until 30 November 2018. While Adina, Vibe Hotels, Rendezvous Hotels and TFE Hotels Collection booking will earn 6 points per dollar, if you stay at Travelodge, you will earn a lower 4 points per dollar rate. This is due to Travelodge having a lower standard rate.
Hamilton Island
Bookings on Hamilton Island are eligible for double points. For every dollar spent at the Reef View Hotel, Palm Bungalows or Beach Club, you will receive 6 Velocity Points instead of 3.Similarly, with all qualia bookings made during the promotion dates, you will receive 2 Velocity Points per dollar spent instead of 1.
Double Velocity Points are available when you book a room between 20 and 31 July, 2018 and stay on or before 31 March, 2019.
Crown Hotels and Resorts
Crown Hotels are offering double points when staying at Crown Hotels Melbourne and Perth properties. You need to book between July 17 and 31 for stays until 1 November 2018.
Next Hotels & Resorts
Book an eligible room at a participating Next Hotels & Resorts property between 20 July and 31 July 2018 for stays until the end of November 2018 and receive double Velocity Points for your stay.
Langham
Double Velocity Points, hotel credit and complimentary basic WIFI is available for all room types (standard, club and suite) at Best Available Rate, with direct bookings at participating properties from 15 June 2018 to 30 September 2018.
StayWell
Double Velocity Points are available for stays across all Park Regis and Leisure Inn Properties in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Hunter Valley, Blue Mountains and Launceston. Bookings need to be made by July 31, for stays from July 20 to November 30.
Pan Pacific Hotels
Virgin Velocity members can earn double Points at participating properties. You need to book direct between July 20 and July 31, with stays between July 20 and November 30.
Ayers Rock Resort
Earn Double Velocity Points for every dollar you spend on accommodation for stays at The Lost Camel and Sails in the Desert. For bookings made between July 20 and July 31 for stays between September 1 and January 31.
Car Hire
Double Points are available for selected rentals with Europcar, Hertz or Thrifty. In the case of Car Hire, there are minimum rental requirements, that vary by rental company. In addition, for Europcar and Hertz, a promotional code must be attached to the booking.
Europcar
The Double Points offer is available for bookings made between January 1 and December 15. The cars themselves need to be hired between January 15 and December 15. The minimum length of rental is 5 days, with a maximum of 28 days.
If you are booking directly with Europcar, you will need to quote promotional Code (PC) number 52114704 at the time of reservation
Hertz
Double Points is available for bookings made between July 17 and July 31 for rentals up until August 31 2018.
When booking directly with Hertz, you will need to quote Promotional Code (PC) number 204551. There is a minimum rental period of 3 days, and a maximum 28 days.
Thrifty
If you rent a Thrifty passenger car for a minimum period of 5 days, you could earn double points. You will need to book between March 23 and August 25, for travel between April 19 and August 30. Note that there is a minimum 5 days rental period required in order to take advantage of the offer.
