The Marriott Bonvoy Double Take Promotion is offering double Marriott Bonvoy points for stays between Tuesday, March 19, 2019 and Tuesday, June 4, 2019. It applies to almost, but not quite, all stays as it only applies from the second stay during the promotion period.
This is the first global promotion that Marriott have run under their new Marriott Bonvoy name. As a reminder, Marriott Bonvoy resulted from the merger of the previous Marriott Rewards, The Ritz-Carlton Rewards and Starwood Preferred Guest (SPG) programs.

Key Details
- Register: You must register by May 21, 2019.
- Stay: You can stay any participating hotels and resorts worldwide between March 19, 2019, and June 4, 2019.
- Earn double points on stays, starting with your second stay.
As is usual with these types of promotion, the double points is only applied to the base points earn. Any bonus you may receive (such as a status bonus) does not get doubled.
For most hotels, the base rate is 10 points per US Dollar of eligible charges. This means, that under the promotion, you will be receiving at lease 20 points per US Dollar spend.
There are a three brands that pay out at 5 points per dollar – Element, Residence Inn, and TownePlace Suites. Fortunately, you are not likely to run into these brands in our little part of the world. If you are travelling abroad, it may pay to keep this in mind.

I guess Marriott Bonvoy have started off with a fairly straightforward promotion.
As always, my plan is to register even though I have no Marriott stays planned. There is always the chance that one could come up and I wouldn’t want to miss out.
