Accor Live Limitless runs a program that allows you to earn Reward Points at participating restaurants and bars, even when you weren’t staying.
Under the program, you are able to earn 1 Reward Point for each Euro (equivalent) that you spend at the venue. It is worth noting that you only earn Reward Points on these transactions. You are not able to earn Status Points.
In order to take advantage of this offer, you will need to link a participating card in the ALL app. You then simply need to pay using that card when you dine, or simply have a drink.
Registering for Points
There’s a four-step process to earning points while you dine.
- Go into “My Account” in the Accor All app.
- Register a credit card (Australian issued American Express cards tend to fail)
- Click on “Link card to earn Reward points”.
- Check if your favourite restaurant or bar is participating in the offer.
From there, just pay at the restaurant using a registered card.
How many points do I earn?
Accor Live Limitless has set the earning rate at 1 Reward Points per Euro charged to your registered card.
If you are staying at the hotel, you may be better off adding it to your room account. In doing so, you will earn at least 5 Rewards Points per dollar. In addition, room charges also receive Status Points, so all around you are better off.
Which ALL – Accor Live Limitless Restaurants are participating?
There are wide range of restaurants participating in the program. You can check which properties are participating by checking the participating location map.
Restrictions
In some cases, there are restrictions on which card you can use. For example, in some venues you can use either a Visa card or a Mastercard. Other venues are limited to just one card, most commonly a Visa card. You should check on the map to view any limitations applying to the venue you are going to.
As examples, consider the following two options – Murray St Grill at the Ibis Perth, and Fenians at the Novotel Langley Perth. In the case of Murray St Grill you are able to use both your Visa or Mastercard. On the other hand, at Fenians you are limited to using a Visa card.
Accor allows you to link up to 5 credit cards in the App. You can delink and register other cards as required.
Final Thoughts
It’s a good extension to the program, even if the earn rate is not as good as staying in a hotel.
Marriott Bonvoy runs a similar program, although it is a much more manual process. The fact that Accor have an automated process based on your credit card is a nice touch. Having said that, it does require the storage of your credit cards by Accor. If you are a credit card churner, keeping things up to date may be a challenge.
