Qantas has teamed up with Deliveroo, an oline ordering service, allowing Qantas Frequent Flyers the opportunity to earn points when they order takeaway. Under the partnership, Qantas will be offering its members two points for every dollar they spend with Deliveroo.
This partnership is the latest in a spate of new partnerships announced by Qantas (and rival Virgin Australia). It is the first time Qantas has partnered with online food delivery company. In doing so, Qantas recognises that Australians are increasingly making orders online.
Why Deliveroo?
According to Qantas Loyalty chief Lesley Grant, “Food is the second most popular interest among our members after travel so we think they’ll be delighted to discover they can now earn points when they order food from their favourite restaurants through Deliveroo,”
“We know consumers are increasingly moving online to make their purchases so we need to make sure we’re giving Qantas Frequent Flyers new opportunities to earn with partners like Deliveroo that make it quick and easy for them to earn points online and through their mobile devices.”
Earning Points
In order to earn points, you will need to associate your Qantas Frequent Flyer number with your Deliveroo account. To do this, members can either download the Deliveroo app or go to the Deliveroo website. On the website, click on “My Account” and enter your Qantas Frequent Flyer details into the Qantas tab.
