Emirates rebalances Perth operations

Emirates is updating its schedules to Perth, as it rebalances the services that it is operating into the Western Austalian capital. The airline will be dropping one of three daily services between Dubai and Perth as from 6 July, 2015.

From that time, it will operate two flights daily between Dubai and Perth, with the EK422/423 flights being removed from the schedule. The remaining flights will be EK420/421, which will by then be an A380 operation, and EK424/425 which will be operated by a Boeing 777-300ER. This will leave 847 seats per day between Perth and Dubai, a drop in capacity of over 200 seats per day.

The flights schedules will be:

EK420 Dubai 0255 – Perth 1735
EK424 Dubai 1010 – Perth 0045+1 (next day)

EK425 Perth 0605 – Dubai 1300
EK421 Perth 2210 – Dunai 0520 (next day)

While the number of flights per day is decreasing, the upgauge in aircraft size is making the drop off in capacity less than might be the case if a flight was simply removed. There is still a sizeable operation between Perth and Dubai, albeit with less options on flight times.
