Get 1,000 bonus Qantas Points on your next flight (maybe targeted)

Qantas and Uber continue to celebrate their partnership by giving members the opportunity to earn an easy bonus Qantas Points.

Well, they say it is celebrating their Uber partnership – but the offer doesn’t actually require an Uber ride. All you need to do is register and make an eligible flight booking (and obviously take the flight).

Qantas will then give you an additional 1,000 Qantas Points over the usual points you’d earn on your Qantas flight.

1,000 Bonus Points

The wording of the offer suggests that it is a targeted offer, although the registration page seems to be open to all. That in mind, the steps are

  • Register your Qantas Frequent Flyer Number
  • Make a new eligible flight booking before 11.59pm (AEST) 31 May 2018
  • Travel on an eligible Domestic or International Qantas flight (with a QF flight number) before 15 May 2019
  • Include your Qantas Frequent Flyer membership number in the booking

An eligible flight means any Qantas marketed flight with a QF flight number on your ticket where Qantas Points are normally earned.

This is the third time that I am aware of Qantas and Uber running this promotion. It first ran in December last year, then again in February. While they do say the points can take up to 6 weeks to post, in my experience they have posted a few days after the qualifying flight.
