If you’re sitting on elite status with a hotel or airline loyalty program, you might be missing out on perks at Ascott properties like Citadines, Oakwood, and lyf. The good news? Ascott Star Rewards (ASR) offers a generous status match program—and it’s easier than you think to level up.
What Is Ascott Star Rewards?
Ascott Star Rewards is the free-to-join global loyalty program for properties under The Ascott Limited’s umbrella. The Ascott Limited has a presence in over 40 countries, particularly in Asia-Pacific, the Middle East and Europe.
In addition to the already mentioned brands, their diverse brand portfolio also includes the Somerset, Ascott The Residence, and The Crest Collection brands.
Ascott Star Rewards status levels
ASR have a fairly straightforward set of status levels – Classic, Silver, Gold and Platinum. Starting from the Classic level, you move up through the levels – first to Silver, then Gold and finally Platinum. As you move up the levels, you gain extra perks. For example, as you move up, you earn extra points on your stay. In addition, the late checkout benefit improves. At the Silver level it is “on-priority”, while at the Platinum level, 3pm late checkouts are on offer.
The following shows the levels and the key benefits of each level:
| Tier | Annual Spend Requirement | Key Benefits |
|---|---|---|
| Classic | None (entry-level) | Birthday voucher, member rates, complimentary basic Wi-Fi |
| Silver | SG$1,000 | All Classic benefits plus 20% bonus points, priority member services |
| Gold | SG$3,000 | All Silver benefits plus 40% bonus points, early check-in/late check-out |
| Platinum | SG$10,000 | All Gold benefits plus 60% bonus points, room upgrades, welcome amenities |
Normally, you move up the status levels based on your spend in participating hotels. For example, Silver requires a $SGD1,000 spend in 12 months, while platinum requires a $SGD10,000 spend. However, you can “skip the queue” so to speak through a status match. This will let you enjoy status benefits at participating properties, even if you haven’t previously stayed with Ascott.
