In the lead up to Christmas Woolworths Rewards are stepping up some of the promotional activities. This weekend sees the return of a promotion offering shoppers the ability to earn up to 10 Woolworths Rewards points per dollar.
For the frequent flyer, the interest in the program comes from its ability to convert Woolworths Rewards Points into Qantas Frequent Flyer points. These transfer at a rate of 2,000 Woolworths Rewards Points to 1,000 Qantas Points
Doing the maths, that means that you could be earning over 4 Woolworths Rewards points per dollar on your shop this weekend. This can be at Woolworths, BWS, Big W and some Caltex stations.
Promotion Details
Shop between 5 December and 8 December to earn up to 10 times the points that you would normally earn. The bonus points are structured as follows:
Simply spend:
- $150 to earn 10x Rewards points,:
- $100 to earn 5x points or
- $50 to earn 3x points.
The promotion is valid online or in store at Woolworths, Caltex, Caltex Woolworths, BWS and BIG W.
The spend has to be in a single transaction, but you can get the bonus as many times as you want. So, for example, if you want the 10x bonus points, then you will need to spend at least $150 in that transaction.

The following table shows the earn rates that can be achieved with this promotion. Your actual earn rate may vary a little, as Woolworths Rewards are only ever issued in even points, with some rounding of values.

If you really want to push your points tally along, Qantas Online Mall is offering 6 points per dollar at Woolworths online until Saturday. You could also get additional points from you credit card. For example the David Jones American Express card can pay 2.25 Qantas Points per dollar on Woolworths spend.
