GHA DISCOVERY is marking its first year of teaming up with Minor Hotels with a tempting offer. That said, it has an unusual wrinkle in the rules that you may need to pay attention to.
Members are being offered 3X D$ when staying at Minor Hotels. In addition, there is a D$25 bonus on each of their first two stays. And if your second stay is at a different Minor brand than the first, you’ll snag an extra D$50 bonus on top.
Key Details
- Offer:
- Triple (3x) the D$ on your first two eligible stays
- Bonus D$25 added to each of those stays
- Extra D$50 if your second stay is with a different Minor Hotels brand than your first
- Booking Dates
- Bookings are open from 23 March through 31 August 2026.
- Blackout Dates for Bookings: Note that any reservations made between 1 May and 28 June 2026 won’t count toward this offer.
- Travel Dates:
- Stays must be completed between 23 March and 30 September 2026. Any checkout after 30 September is not eligible.
The blackout on bookings between 1 May and 28 June 2026 is certainly an unusual feature of the promotion. Given it’s close on a two month period, I’d suggest that there will be some other promotion (possibly a more broad GHA Discovery promotion) running at the time.
Brands
While Minor Hotels operates a diverse range of brands worldwide, there are only a couple of brands operating in Australia. Most of their hotels in Australia operate under the Oaks Hotels, Resorts & Suites brand, which offers serviced apartments and hotels in major cities and regional areas. Other brands include Avani (upscale) and iStay (midscale), with a luxury Anantara hotel planned for Perth by 2032. Not that a planned hotel helps for this promotion 🙂
Looking further afield, you’ll also find more brands such as NH Hotels and Resorts. In the case of NH Hotels, for the purposes of the promotion NH Hotels, NH Collection, and nhow Hotels will be considered the same brand.
You can find the full list of participating properties here.
Final Words
This is a nice little promotion from GHA Discovery and Minor Hotels. While there’s a couple of oddities in the Terms and Conditions of the offer, you can generally work around these.
They also say that the promotional D$ will expire 3 months after issuance, but hopefully these will be extended (if needed) until September.
