IHG Rewards has just released its latest PointBreaks list, and for a change there is a reasonable selection for those of us in Australia. In fact, there are seven Australian hotels in total, with 3 available for 10,000 points a night, and 4 available for 15,000 points a night.
Further afield, there are three hotels in New Zealand, together with a range of hotels in Thailand, Malaysia and Indonesia.
PointBreaks
IHG releases a new set of PointBreaks hotels each quarter. Going on sale today, the latest range includes options at the Intercontinental, Crowne Plaza and Holiday Inn brands. As usual, there are options available at 5,000 or 10,000 or 15,000 IHG Rewards Points per night.
PointBreaks 29 October – 31 January
There are only a limited number of rooms made available at the PointBreak rates. As a result, the rooms can book out quickly once the promotion goes live. So, if a room appeals, do make sure to check back early in the promotion period.
Being a highly discounted (and Reward) rate there are some limitations that go with it. For a start, the rule limit each member to just two reservations during the promotion period.
Furthermore, you can’t modify the booking dates or hotels later. Your only option is to cancel the booking, which should give a full refund.
