IHG have kicked off winter sale, with bookings for the winter months being taken over the next week. The sale offers up to 40% off a range of Holiday Inn and Crowne Plaza hotels throughout Australia and New Zealand. In the case of Intercontinental Hotels, a discount of 25% is on offer.
The basic details of the IHG Winter Sale are:
- Sale Period: April 27, 2015 -May 3, 2015
- Stay Period: June 1, 2015 – September 4 2015
- Condition: Minumum 2 night stay
Crowne Plaza and Holiday Inn
In order to book, there is a special search page. On this page, you select the city you wish to stay in. This will then send you to an IHG Hotels search page to select the dates of your stay. In order to access the sale rates, there is a special rate code ‘IHG Special’ which will need to be selected.
Note that this special rate is prepaid at the time of booking, and that bookings cannot be modified or cancelled. The prepayment is not refundable.

Intercontinental
The Intercontinental Hotels in Australia and New Zealand are running a similar sale, accessed through a separate search page. As with the Crowne Plaza offer, the rate code ‘IHG Special’ needs to be used. Again, the special rate is prepaid at the time of booking, and that bookings cannot be modified or cancelled. The prepayment is not refundable.
While the 2 night minumum generally applies, the InterContinental Sanctuary Cove requires a 3 night minimum stay to be eligible.
