Pan Pacific has launched a promotion offering instant Gold status in the GHA Discovery program. Even better, it is a complimentary offer – you don’t even need to stay. However, if you do stay, you can earn triple Discovery Dollars (D$) when staying between May 1 and August 31, 2025.
In the GHA Discovery program, gold is the first of the elite levels – the first step up from the bottom. This normally requires either two stays or a spend of US$1,000 in a calendar year.

As noted, the Gold level is the first of the elite levels in the program. As with many programs, while a step up from the base level, it comes with limited benefits. In the case of GHA Discovery, the principal benefit of gold is that earn at a greater rate than the base level.

GHA Discovery is a little unusual in that the promotional bonus offer will apply the multiplier to any status bonus that you receive. For this promotion, this works out as follows:
- Gold: 5% base + 10% bonus = 15% total
- Platinum: 6% base + 12% bonus = 18% total
- Titanium: 7% base + 14% bonus = 21% total
That said, promotional D$ generally have a shorter life than the normal D$. In the case of this promotion, the bonus D$ will expire 3 months after they are added to your account.

If you’re a silver member of the program, there seems little reason not to apply for the free upgrade.
