Priority Guest Rewards has become EVT Stays

    MarkBy MarkAugust 29, 2024No Comments3 Mins Read

Event Hotels has renamed its loyalty program, Priority Guest Rewards, to EVT Stays. The new name came into effect on 20 August, the same day the program got a bit of a makeover.

    According to Event Hotels:

This change reflects our commitment to offering a diverse range of experiences across our collection of EVT Hotels and Resorts primary brands, including QT Hotels, Rydges, Atura, LyLo, and our expanding selection of independently branded hotels.

    Changes to EVT Stays

The alterations extend beyond a mere name change. Several changes, which were announced earlier, have been implemented concurrently. To summarize, the program has undergone the following modifications:

    Status Levels

      • The new base Silver level slots in below the existing Gold Tier.
      • The qualification period for earning and retaining tiers is now based on a rolling 12-month period:
        • Earning: To earn a given tier, you must meet the required eligible stays and eligible nights during the preceding 12 months. Stays and nights become ineligible once they are more than 12 months old.
        • Retaining tiers: This is based on eligible stays and eligible nights in the following 12 months from the date the respective tier is gained.
      • The qualification criteria for earning and retaining tiers has changed:
        • To earn or retain the Gold tier, you will need to stay 2 times and 5 nights.
        • To earn or retain the Platinum tier, you will need to stay 4 times and 10 nights.
        • The Black tier will be by invitation only.

    Points earning and redeeming

      • You now earn points based on both your membership tier and the hotel you stayed at.
        • The program has split the hotels into 5 groups. Under this structure, group 1 earns the most points through to group 5 earning the least.
          • The Silver tier forms the base level points per hotel group,
          • Gold tier members earning a bonus +25% points,
          • Platinum tier members earning a bonus +50% points and
          • Black tier members earning a bonus +100% points.
      • Redeeming free room nights is now based on the group the hotel belongs to with Group 1 costing 300 points through to Group 5 costing 100 points.

    Transition

As part of the transition onto the new system, you will keep your current tier for 12 months starting from 20 August 2024. You have until 19 August 2025 to meet the criteria for your current level. If you do not meet the criteria, you will move down one tier
