Qantas adds additional flights over the holidays

Qantas has announced that it will be adding more than 140 flights over the holiday period of December 2015 through to February 2016. The additional flights will operate between Australia and New Zealand, Jakarta, and Singapore during the period.

New Zealand

Qantas will add an extra 95 return flights between Australia and New Zealand over the summer holiday period. This is in addition to extra seasonal services previously announced.

The bulk of the these additional services will be from Brisbane. There will be an additional 48 return services between Brisbane and Christchurch and 36 return services between Brisbane and Wellington from 3 December 2015 to 22 February 2016.

Jakarta

Qanta normally operates four weekly service between Sydney and Jakarta. Over the period  7 December 2015 to 10 January 2016 will operate a fifth weekly service. This additional service will operate on Saturdays, and will be operated by an Airbus A330 aircraft.

Singapore

In the period 30 November 2015 to 21 February 2016, Qantas will operate a daily service from Perth to Singapore. This provides an additional two flights a week on Tuesday and Thursday) over the 5 flights a week announced when Qantas resumed Perth-Singapore flights in June.

As with the existing flights, these additional services will be operated by a Boeing 737 aircraft.
