Qantas has updated its Frequent Flyer earn tables, adding the earn rates for its new flights between Perth and London. The new Perth – London service was announced in December, with tickets going on sale in April. The new earn rates fill in a gap in the tables that the new route created.
Perth – London Earn Rates
Qantas publishes an earnings table that outlines the earn rate on the routes across its network. This table generally specifis earn between specific cities or regions. While there is a fallback distance based table, this table tends to have inferior earn rates to earn rates to the route specific earn rates.
Qantas have now updated the tables to include Perth – Europe flights for the first time. It is interesting that they have defined it as Perth – Europe rather than Perth – London.
The table for international flights from Perth is shown below.
This compares favourably with the fallback table, as shown by the following comparison. Generally, the status credits and points earn is higher than based on the generic distance based table.

Calculator
While the new tables specify the earn rate for the Perth – London flight, the earn rate calculator has not yet been updated. It does not allow you to choose Perth – London as a valid routing. Hopefully, a fix for that will be coming soon.
