Visit Uluru on a Qantas Glight to Somewhere

Qantas has announced a series of scenic “Flight To Somewhere” getaways to some of Australia’s key holiday destinations. The first of these will take flight on 5 December for a weekend in Uluru.

The new Flight to Somewhere follows the success of the recent 7-hour ‘Great Southern Land’ scenic flight to nowhere.

Weekend Details

The first all-inclusive Flight To Somewhere will take off to Uluru on Saturday 5 December. The weekend kicks off with a pre-flight lounge champagne breakfast. Following breakfast, passengers will board their special flight to Uluru, offering special sightseeing features. Firstly, guests will enjoy low-level flybys of Sydney Harbour on departure. Secondly, low-level circuits of Uluru and Kata Tjuta will offer guests a birds eye view of these attractions.

While prices are based on twin share accommodation, if you need to travel solo, then a single supplement is payable. This is $250 for the Business offer, while those choosing Economy face a single supplement of $115.

Members of Qantas Frequent Flyer will also receive points and status credits. Business passengers will receive 10,000 Qantas Points and 160 Status Credits. For those in Econom, the numbers are halved – 5,000 Qantas Points and 80 Status Credits.

Thoughts

It is quite something to think that in 2020 a fully inclusive weekend getaway would be big news. But here we are.

Still, for many it will make a nice getaway.
