You can score an extra 10,000 Qantas Points when you sign up for a participating Qantas Points‑earning credit card as a first‑time cardholder. This is on top of whatever sign‑up bonus the card already offers.

The catch is that you won’t qualify if you’ve earned Qantas Points from any credit card in the past 24 months. That’ll rule out a lot of people, but it could still be a nice win for friends or family who haven’t held a points‑earning card recently.

Once you register, you just need to apply for an eligible card, get approved, and make your first purchase within 30 days. Your first batch of points from the card has to hit your Qantas account by 31 January 2027.

This time around, you can check your eligibility for the offer. To do so, head to the offer page and enter your Qantas Frequent Flyer details. Do that, and you’ll get advice on whether or not you qualify.
