For many Australians, it is a difficult time to travel at the moment. Even so, Qantas is trying to drum up business by offering triple points on flights, hotels, and car hire.
First up, triple points are on offer for flights across Australia and New Zealand. In addition, you can also earn triple points for Qantas Hotel bookings, and car rentals through Avis.
This promotion originally closed on 27 July, however, Qantas have now extended the booking period out until 31 July.
Promotion Details
- Offer: Triple Qantas Points on Flights, Hotel Bookings, and Avis Car Rental
- Registration: You must register for this promotion.
- Booking Period: New bookings must be made between 22 July and 31 July 2021 (was 27 July)
- Travel Period: You can travel anytime between 28 July 2021 and 30 June 2022.
Flights
You can earn a minimum of 2,400 Qantas Points to be earned on each single flight booking via Qantas.com and travel agents
Hotels
By booking your hotels through Qantas Hotels you could lock in 9 Qantas Points per dollar. This is triple the usual 3 Qantas Points per dollar, but you will need to book by 27 July.
Avis
If you book an Avis rental, you could be in line for 12 Qantas Points per dollar. This is a significant chunk of points, up from the usual 4 Qantas Points per dollar.
Thoughts
In terms of bonus points, this is one of the bigger offers that Qantas has made recently. Of course, it is in their interests to drum up business and look beyond the current lockdowns and border closures.
In most cases, you can book flexibly, so even if your plans change, you can often cancel without penalty.
