Qantas has kicked off a new promotion, offering triple points on flights to Dubai and London that are booked by July 4, 2016. The promotion is available on selected dates and flights, but only in the Economy cabin.
Registration
Registration is required for the promotion. If you are on a booking with multiple people in the booking, then each person will need to register separately for the promotion in order to take advantage of the triple points offer.
Eligibliity
The promotion is applicable on
- flights QF1/2 between Sydney and Dubai or London, and
- flights QF9/10 between Melbourne and Dubai or London.
In order to gain the bonus points travel will need to occur between October 4 and November 22, 2016 or January 24 and March 28, 2017.
The triple points on offer is based on the base points for the flights. Any status bonus that you might get will not be tripled. The calculation of how many bonus points are to on offer needs to take into account the actual fare that the booking is made under.
For a return Qantas Flight between Sydney and London in ‘Economy’ a normal earn would be 18,600 Qantas Points. Under the promotion, an additional 36,200 bonus Qantas Points would be paid as a bonus, giving a grand total of 55,800 Qantas Points. Any applicable status bonus would then be based on the 18,600 points.
Under the terms of the promotion, bonus points may take up to 6 weeks after the flight to be creditted to your account.
