It’s been a long time between drinks, however, Qantas has announced that it will be returning to international flying from Adelaide. Twelve years after operating its last international service, Qantas will begin flying nonstop to Auckland from 31 October 2025,
While in some ways a significant announcement, it is really just a toe in the water. To begin with, it will be a seasonal service operating four times a week. That said, it will bring 30,000 extra seats between the two cities, so should give Adelaide a bit of a boost.
In addition to a return to international service, Qantas also announced the opening of a new Qantas Business Lounge at Adelaide Airport.
