Qantas seasonal service to Bali

Qantas is continuing its rollout of seasonal services over summer, with the announcement that it will be operating such a service to Bali over the summer months. The new Boeing 737 service will operate between Sydney and Denpasar four times a week from 4 December 2015 to 29 January 2016. In all a tital of 33 return trips will be made.

The service is said to be in resposne to demand to Bali, and will supplement the 787 services to Bali operated by Low Cost offshoot Jetstar.

Qantas will be utilising the narrow body Boeing 737 aircraft to operate the service. Spruiking the full service model of the Qantas operation, Qantas state that passengers on the service will “enjoy Qantas’ renowned service, a checked baggage allowance, inflight entertainment and food and beverage, all included as part of the fare”.

On board the aircraft, Qantas touts the in-flight experience – “Economy customers will experience the new economy dining experience with more choice and faster service. A Rockpool designed menu served on Marc Newson tableware and Kate and Jack Spade amenity kits with Aurora Spa ASPAR products will be offered in Business.”

The service will run on Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday each week during the period 4 December to 29 January. The aircraft will depart Sydney at 5:10 pm, arriving into Bali at 8.50pm. The return journey departs Denpasar at 10:40 pm, arriving back into Sydney at 7 am the next morning. The schedule is shown in the following table
