Qantas has announced it will begin flying its own aircraft between Sydney and Fiji from 31 March 2019. From that date, Qantas will operate a Boeing 737 service between Sydney and Nadi four times per week.
As with all Qantas services, it will be a ‘full service’ offering. Included in the ticket price will be a checked baggage allowance, inflight entertainment, and a food and drink offering. And since you are on a Qantas service, you will have the option to use points to upgrade to Business class.

Codeshares
The new Qantas service will supplement the existing Jetstar services, which also operate four times per week. Qantas will also be adding its code to these Jetstar flights as from 1 February 2019. Codeshare customers receive additional benefits over the standard Jetstar offering, including the opportunity for Qantas Frequent Flyers to earn points and status credits and receive a complimentary meal. Of course, you can also opt for a Jetstar bundle to receive various benefits as well.
Taken together, the Qantas Group will offer services six days a week, and offer customers more than 75,000 seats on the route annually.
Qantas will also continue to codeshare on Fiji Airways’ services to Nadi. With Fiji Airways now integrated as a oneworld connect partner, eligible Qantas Frequent Flyers will benefit from priority check-in desks, priority boarding and lounge access when flying on Qantas codeshare flights operated by Fiji Airways
