Qantas to fly to Tokyo’s Haneda Airport from August 2015

Qantas has announced that it will fly daily to Tokyo’s Haneda airport from August 2015 (with the usual Subject to Regulatory Approval disclaimer). The new Haneda services will be in addition to the current daily services to Narita.

Qantas has not advised the schedule for the new Haneda services. They are aiming to have details on schedule and aircraft types published by the end of the year. They have, however, advised that the current Narita schedule may change.

Unlike Narita, Haneda Airport is located close to downtown Tokyo. It is 15 minutes by Monorail and approximately 30 minutes by rail, and provides a great option for customers wanting to get to the city quickly or those wanting to connect seamlessly to services operated by fellow oneWorld partner Japan Airlines (JAL).

This additional capacity to Japan will allow Qantas to capitalise on the significant growth in the Australian-Japan market, and has been made possible as a result of improvements in the utilisation of our fleet.
