Qatar Airways has updated the amenity provided to economy passengers. Focussing on simplicity and functionality, the kits are designed to make the passengers’ journey more comfortable and relaxing.
The new kits feature “inspiring images” of destinations on the carrier’s network. The carrier says that the kits will be refreshed every 4 months with an image of a new destination featuring on the bag.
What’s Inside?
The Amenity Kit will include the following items:
- Institut Karité Paris lip balm
- Miradent dental kit,
- eye mask,
- socks, and
- ear plugs
Qatar Airways Senior Vice President of Customer Experience, Mr. Rossen Dimitrov, commented:
“This will be a year of change for Qatar Airways travellers, with numerous upgrades to our on-board products and services, including our new Economy Class amenity kits. The refreshed kits have been designed to deliver an elevated customer experience by providing our passengers with products from world-class brands such as Institut Karité Paris and Miradent. We like to continually surprise and delight our passengers in every class of cabin, and we believe that anyone travelling in Economy Class will be truly delighted when they discover these new amenity kits on board.”
The recent focus of many airlines has been in the premium classes. Indeed, a number of airlines have seemingly done away with amenity kits of any substance in Economy.
Qatar themselves have recently introduced new amenity kits for Business Class and First Class passengers. They are designed by BRIC’S and Nappa Dori, with content provided by Castello Monte Vibiano Vecchio.
Given such a focus on the premium cabins, it is pleasing that Qatar has turned their attention to Economy travellers. Sure, they may not be as luxurious as the Business or First kits, but they do seem to have essentials covered.
