QBE Insurance Offers Up To 40,000 Velocity Points On New Policies

    MarkBy MarkNovember 20, 2025No Comments3 Mins Read

Velocity and QBE Insurance have inked a new deal offering Velocity members the chance of earning bonus Velocity Points. The points are on offer to members taking out eligible insurance policies, which include insurances such a car, home, landlord and small business protection.

Through until 28 February 2026, you can earn 30,000 Points if you buy a new QBE home insurance policy and 30,000 Points if you also buy a new QBE Comprehensive Car Insurance policy online. In addition, you could receive 10,000 Points per policy on renewal. All up, that could be 40,000 Points per policy, or 80,000 Points if you take out both.

Not surprisingly, QBE and Velocity are touting this is a positive for travellers. According to Jo Hatcher, Managing Director, Consumer for QBE Australia Pacific the relationship reflects QBE’s commitment to delivering value and convenience to Australian consumers.

We’re thrilled to be collaborating with Velocity Frequent Flyer. This arrangement makes it easier for members to access trusted insurance solutions from QBE, while also rewarding them for their loyalty.

By teaming up with Velocity, we’re able to connect with millions of Australians through a program they already know and value.

    Earning Velocity Points with QBE

QBE are offering Velocity Points on the following products:

    • Comprehensive Car Insurance
    • Third Party Property Damage Car Insurance

In most cases, the points are paid in two lots. The first lot arrive when you take out an insurance policy, and second lot on your renewal. Even so, there are a few things to keep in mind in order to get the points.

Firstly, to be in line for the initial bonus Velocity Points, you must

    • take out and then hold an eligible QBE Insurance product for at least 90 days, and
    • make at least 1 premium payment.

Secondly, in order to receive the renewal points, you must

    • renew the policy and
    • continue to hold the policy for 90 days after renewal. and
    • have made a renewal payment.

If you would like to take advantage of this offer, head over to Velocity Offer page. Remember, you have until 26 February 2026, and you will need to provide your Velocity number while signing up.

    Final Words

While these offers can be a good way of getting points, you should do your homework on the policies. Make sure you compare polices, and pricing to make sure you are getting a good deal,
