It’s been a highly anticipated opening, and now we have a date. The Ritz-Carlton, Perth will officially open its doors at Elizabeth Quay on November 15, adding more than 200 hotel rooms to the booming hotel sector in Perth.
The Ritz-Carlton Perth
The Ritz-Carlton Perth is a 205 room waterfront hotel, situated in Elizabeth Quay in Perth. The hotel will also boast a rooftop bar, a restaurant serving locally produced food and wine and an infinity pool.
Guests will enjoy the hotel’s array of amenities including The Ritz-Carlton Spa offering indulgent signature treatments and tailored spa experiences, vitality pools & treatment rooms, fitness centre, roof bar & lounge, pool, whirl pool, restaurant, meeting rooms, pre-function foyer with gallery looking down to entrance foyer, junior ballroom, main ballroom, and club lounge. The podium rooftop bar will be accessible to the general public and will be a prime vantage point over the quayside.
Adding to the lavish accommodation and services enjoyed by guests who stay at the hotel, will be the wide range of venues within the hotel – a grand ballroom and function rooms – making Elizabeth Quay ‘the’ place for special occasions such as weddings, anniversaries, important industry conferences, exhibitions, launches and gala events.
In addition to the hotel rooms, the development consists of another 379 residential apartments.
The hotel will participate in the Marriott Bonvoy program and has been assigned Category 7. As far as I am aware, this will make it the only Category 7 property in Australia. The other properties, such as the Westin in Perth, top out as Category 5 properties.
Category 7 properties require 60,000 points for a standard award night. This compares to the 35,000 points required for a Category 5 property.
The Ritz-Carlton Perth is not the only luxury hotel Marriott expects to open in Australia this year. They have also penciled in a new W hotel in Melbourne later in the year.
