Singapore Airlines Book the Cook Premium Economy offering

Mark BBy Mark BMay 6, 2015No Comments3 Mins Read

Singapore Airlines recently announced that it was adding a premium economy class to many of its services. As part of the initial announcement it was advised that one of the offerings of the new class was to be a version of the popular ‘Book The Cook’ service, that is currently on offer in First Class and Business Class.

The Singapore Airlines Book the Cook service is an offering that allows you to choose your preferred inflight meals before you fly. As the selection is booked it ahead, it also allows the ability to choose from a wider range of dishes than is available through the traditional on board meal offering. Between the main meal and breakfast offerings, there are generally ten options to choose from. While a bit variable, this usually includes 8 main meal options and 2 breakfast options.

    What’s on offer?

While they may not be the same as meals that are available in the First or Business cabins, the selection does look quite attractive. The actual offerings vary depending on your departure points, and some current examples are outlined below.

    From Sydney

The offerings that will be available initially for those travelling from Sydney to Singapore include:

Beef Carbonade, Fresh Mash Potato and Roasted Vegetables
Beef braised in beer, fresh mash potato and roasted vegetables.
    Szechuan Beef with Vegetables
Szechuan spicy beef service with steamed rice, stir fried carrots and cabbage.
Stir Fried Char Siew Noodles (only available for Breakfast)
Stir fried egg noddles with Chinese style barbequed pork.
Apple and Cinnamon Crepes (only available for Breakfast)

If you are on a flight departing from Singapore that offers Premium Economy, your choices will include:
