Singapore Airlines to reduce fuel surcharges

As we all know, oil priced have fallen quite significantly over the last six months. Now, Singapore Airlines has announced that it will be reducing fuel surcharges across its network for tickets issues on or after 26 February, 2015.

The reductions, which will apply to both Singapore Airlines and Silk Air flights are shown in the following table:

The new charges represent a decrease of between USD5 and USD83 per sector, depending on the distance and class of travel.

The airline noted that while fuel prices had declined in recent months, jet fuel continued to account for a significant percentage of the SIA Group expenditure.
