AgodaVIP status can seem a bit complex at first because it’s based on your previous 24 months of activity, yet it’s evaluated in six‑month cycles. While your status can technically last as little as six months, you will probably keep it longer depending on how frequently you book. Here’s how the AgodaVIP status cycle works:
- Rolling 24‑Month Evaluation — Your eligible bookings and total spending from the past 24 months is reviewed every day. Once you meet a tier’s requirement, your account is upgraded immediately.
- 6‑Month Status Protection — When you move up a level, your new VIP level is locked in for six months, even if older bookings drop off and your two‑year totals temporarily fall below the threshold.
- Automatic Renewal — On the final day of those six months, Agoda will recalculate your previous 24 months of activity. If you still meet the requirements, your status is extended for another six months.
