Velocity has boosted the Velocity Points earn rate when flying in Business or First Class on Delta Air Lines operated flights. The changes came into effect on February 1, and apply whether you are on the DL or VA flight number.
Velocity Earn Rate on Delta
Under the new earn rate, Velocity members earn 2 Velocity Points per mile in Business or First on Delta or Virgin flights. This makes a change from the variety of earn rates that previously applied on Delta operated flights.
If you are flying on a VA marketed ticket (operated by Delta) you will now receive 2 velocity Points per mile in Business or First. This is an increase from the 1.5 Velocity Points per mile that previously applied.
If you are flying on a DL marketed ticket, you will also receive 2 Velocity Points per mile. Previously, you would earn between 1.25 an 2 Velocity Points per mile, depending on booking class.
