Velocity and Virgin Australia have launched a Reward Seat sale, releasing an additional 1 million reward seats on the domestic network. This sale is kicking off on the same day that Velocity announced that it was reducing the points requirement for domestic economy reward seats.
The extra seats are only available across the Domestic network. There are some exclusions, such as flights to either Chrismas Island or Cocos Island. Virgin Australia is not releasing any additional seats in Business or on International routes. In addition, flights to
The offer is valid during the period 5 June 2023 – 19 June 2023, so you have two weeks to find some seats.
Eligible Dates
The seats are being made available on certain blocks of dates. In essence, this avoids releasing additional seats during normal times of high demand, such as school holidays. At least parts of the school holidays. Some of the additional seats are in parts of the holidays. Having said that, the normal allocation in these time periods should still apply, although they may disappear quickly.

- 17 July 2023 – 15 September 2023
- 9 October 2023 – 15 December 2023
- 8 January 2024 – 28 March 2024
- 27 April 2024 – 30 April 2024
