Westpac has announced its changes to earn rates from 1 July 2017. Unlike ANZ, Westpac have elected to keep the American Express companion cards, although the earnings potential of the card is reducing somewhat.
Westpac Changes
Generally, the changes being made are
- Reduction in earn rate for some American Express cards
- Removal of earn when spending at the ATO for several cards
- Removal of additional points for international spend
The exact changes that you will face depend on the cards that you hold. Some of the changes affect some cards in the Westpac portfolio and not others.
