The World of Hyatt program has just launched a new triple points Bonus Journeys promotion. While it offers members triple points from their second stay, elite members will receive 2,500 points on their first stay.

- Stay Period: The offer is valid for stays between 15 June and 15 September 2020
- Registration: Registration is required between 8 June and 31 August 2020.

The stays can be at any eligible hotel. This includes the hotels of partners such as Small Luxury Hotels of the World (SLH).
Bonus points are capped at 200,000 points for this promotion. This may not be such a big deal at the moment, given the travel restrictions. However, these may ease over the course of this promotion, so a few members may bump into it.
Thoughts
With travel starting to return, Hyatt is one of the first chains to launch a system-wide promotion. Hilton have extended an existing promotion, while Accor have a range of offers around the world, including triple points in Australia.
It is interesting that Hyatt have added bonus points on the first stay for elites. Over the last few years, it has become common for promotions to kick in from the second stay. It is a nice touch that Hyatt has added an extra bonus for its elite members.
