You can now use Qantas Points to book Luxury Escapes

    MarkBy MarkMay 25, 2018No Comments2 Mins Read

Qantas Frequent Flyer members can pay for their Luxury Escapes holiday by redeeming Qantas Points. Under this option, you can use 4,000 Qantas Points to reduce the cost of your booking by $20.

    Luxury Escapes and Qantas

Luxury Escapes joined the Qantas Frequent Flyer program three months ago as an earn partner. In those three months you have been able to earn 1 Qantas Point per dollar spent through Luxury Escapes.

The partnership has now taken another advance with the ability to redeem points toward your holiday. Even better, you will still earn Qantas Points on the full package cost – even the part paid for by points.

Under the offer, 4,000 Qantas Points can be redeemed for a $20 discount. You can opt to pay the entire package price with points, or you can pay partially with points and the rest in cash.

Of course, paying for the full package on points is going to take a lot of points. As an example, today Luxury Escapes were selling a beachfront stay at the Mulia, Bali for $2,299 per room. If paying fully in points, this would require 459,800 points.

In order to earn and burn at Luxury Escape, you will need to sign up to Luxury Escapes. Following that, follow the prompts to create a link with your Qantas Frequent Flyer account.

    Thoughts

This values each of your points at just 0.5 cents each. While this is on a par with other retail offers, such as Rockpool Group or Hoyts, it is not the greatest use of your points. Generally, flight awards or upgrades tend to give the greatest value for points, but if you have a large stash of points, then perhaps a Luxury Escape is one way of using them.
