Looking to top up your Velocity Points? Sitting on a stash of American Express Membership Reward points and looking for somewhere to go? If so, there’s a new offer out that may be of interest.
American Express and Velocity have launched a new promotion offering a bonus of up to 15% when you transfer Membership Rewards Points to Velocity.
The bonus is available for members that earn Membership Rewards points, and make manual transfers to Velocity. This includes cards such as the American Express Platinum card, or the American Express Explorer card,
Cards, such as the Velocity cards, that automatically transfer to Velocity are not included in the offer.
In order to take advantage of this offer, you will need to transfer a minimum of 2,000 Membership Rewards points to your Velocity account by 15 March 2024. You will receive a bonus of at least 10%. However, if you have a Centurion, Platinum Charge, Platinum Business, or Rewards Advantage Card, you will receive 15% bonus Velocity Points.
Transfer Rates
In most cases, the usual transfer rate from Membership Rewards to Velocity is 2:1. As such, those 2,000 Membership Rewards Points will convert into 1,000 Velocity Points. The applicable bonus will then be provided as additional Velocity points.
