American Airlines has announced that Fiji Airways will join the AAdvantage® loyalty program in the coming year, This announcement follows the announcement that Fiji Airways will be joining the oneWorld alliance.
As it stands, American Airlines and Fiji Airways have an existing partnership, allowing AAdvantage members to earn and redeem points on Fiji Airways flights. That said, what has been missing from the mix, is a full-blown program for Fiji Airways. While it has some pieces in the form of the Tabua Club, this did not have a points-earning side.
The announcement takes this a whole step further. As Anmol Bhargava, American’s Vice President of Partnerships says
