I recently took the morning flight from Perth to Dubai, and got to try out the Emirates Lounge, Perth. As the flight leaves Perth at 6am, the lounge was set up for a breakfast service. A second piece of good news for Adelaide today, with Qantas opening the new Adelaide Domestic Business. This announcement coincided with the news that international flying would return to Adelaide. With the opening of the Adelaide Domestic Business Lounge, Qantas Business customers and Platinum Frequent Flyers will have their own space, separate to the Qantas Club. As such, Adelaide joins the rest of the mainland capital cities in having the two domestic lounges. It’s been a long time between drinks, however, Qantas has announced that it will be returning to international flying from Adelaide. Twelve years after operating its last international service, Qantas will begin flying nonstop to Auckland from 31 October 2025, While in some ways a significant announcement, it is really just a toe in the water.
