Get Double Airline Points when you transfer Choice Privileges points

Choice Privileges are offering members of Qantas Frequent Flyer and Velocity an opportunity to earn double points on transfers from Choice Privileges. The bonus offer is available for transfers made during November.

Transfer Details

  • Offer: Double points on transfers to Qantas or Velocity
  • Dates: Transfers will need to take place between 1 November and 30 November 2023

When transferring to Qantas or Velocity the limits and conditions are largely the same. As a result, the following generally applies to transfers to either program.

When transferring from Choice Privileges to either Qantas or Virgin, you can transfer a minimum of 2,000 Choice Privileges Points. From there, you can transfer in increments of 1,000 points. The standard transfer rate for the programs is 1,000 Choice Privilege points gives 400 Qantas or Velocity Points.

As a result, during this promotion, you could receive 1,600 frequent flyer points for each 2,000 Choice Privileges points that you transfer. This is up from the 800 frequent flyer points you would normally receive,

How to Transfer Points

You can transfer points from Choice Privileges through the online Rewards Exchange process. In order to transfer points, you will need to link your Qantas or Velocity account to Choice Privileges. Once you have done that, you can transfer your points through Rewards Exchange.

Thoughts

If you’ve collected a stash of Choice Privileges points, it may be worth considering shipping them across to Qantas or Velocity while the double points promotion is on.
