Le Club Platinum lounge access now in Australian Sofitels

Mark BBy Mark BFebruary 27, 2016No Comments2 Mins Read

Platinum members of the Le Club AccorHotels program now have access to the Club Sofitel lounges in the Brisbane, Melbourne and Sydney Sofitel hotels.

Le Club AccorHotels began offering Club lounge access to its platinum tier members in a revamp fo the program benefits in 2013. The benefit was extended pretty much to all Accor hotels worldwide that had a Lounge. While the Pullman Hotels in Australia extended the benefit, the Sofitel hotels in Sydney and Melbourne were exempted from the requirement.

The Sofitel Brisbane was introduced into the program later (in 2014), and initally followed the lead of the Sydney and Melbourne hotels in not providing access. Since then, the Softiel in Brisbane commenced offering lounge access last year, and the Sofitel Sydney ran a trial of access in December, which later extended into January.

On issue that has occurred in some of the Pullman Hotels, is that the Lounge, while it exists, has been closed. Under the new terms, the Platinum member (and guest staying in the same room) will be entitled to a full buffet breakfast, and will alsi be granted a 1,000 points bonus.

The new policy came into effect on February 26, and announced on the Le Club AccorHotels website.
